IOMMO Metallics are manufactured in Slovakia in small batches, with close attention paid to colour consistency, pigmentation and finish.

Our metallic paints combine high-quality acrylic resin with finely selected mica-based mineral pigments to create their distinctive depth, movement and metallic reflection.

IOMMO Metallics are highly pigmented, water-based acrylic paints formulated with pearlescent and iridescent mica pigments rather than conventional glitter. These finely dispersed mineral particles interact with light to create depth and movement across the painted surface. 

The result is a more refined metallic appearance, something our customers frequently describe as a smooth, creamy consistency with excellent opacity and an elegant silky sheen rather than a glittery finish.

No. IOMMO achieves its metallic effect through pearlescent and iridescent mica mineral pigments, not decorative glitter. 

These tiny reflective particles respond to the direction of light, which is why an IOMMO surface can appear softly satin from one angle and considerably more luminous from another.

This changing relationship with light is an important part of the character of a true metallic finish.

Yes. IOMMO Metallics are water-based acrylic paints with low VOC content. 

This makes application and clean-up straightforward while still providing the durability, adhesion and rich pigmentation required from a professional decorative metallic coating.

VOC stands for Volatile Organic Compounds , organic chemicals that can evaporate into the air during and after application of certain coatings.

IOMMO Metallics are formulated as low-VOC water-based paints and contain approximately 0.25% VOC. They are also low odour, making them particularly pleasant to work with compared with many traditional solvent-based metallic finishes.

As with any coating, we still recommend normal ventilation while painting and drying.

Digital screens reproduce colour using emitted light, while metallic paint interacts with reflected light.

Screen brightness, device calibration and photography can therefore only provide an approximation of a metallic shade. The mineral shimmer, depth and directional reflection of the real paint cannot be fully reproduced digitally.

For this reason, we recommend ordering a Sample Tester Jar when colour accuracy is important.

Yes. Always stir metallic paint thoroughly before and occasionally during use.

Metallic mica pigments can naturally settle while the container is stored. Gentle but thorough stirring redistributes the pigment evenly through the acrylic resin and ensures the colour and metallic effect remain consistent from the beginning of the project to the end.

Avoid aggressively shaking the jar immediately before painting, as this can introduce unnecessary air bubbles.
